We recently worked with a client on Cape Cod who was preparing to turn his home into a short-term rental. The plan was simple—but the execution required focus: one brother needed to move out, and the home (starting with the kitchen) needed to be set up for incoming guests.
That meant two things happening at once.
First, we worked side-by-side with the client to sort through his belongings and identify what he wanted to bring to his new place just a few miles away. This part is always about decision-making—what’s staying, what’s going, and making sure nothing important gets left behind.
At the same time, we shifted the kitchen into “Airbnb mode.”
For a short-term rental, a kitchen needs to do more than just function—it needs to feel clear, welcoming, and easy to navigate. We edited down what was there, organized cabinets and drawers so guests can intuitively find what they need, and made sure there were enough dishes and essentials to comfortably support a family stay. The goal is always the same: clean, uncluttered, and photo-ready.
In just 6 hours, our organizer Marianne helped the client get fully packed and settled for his move—while also transforming the kitchen (and a few additional spaces) into a guest-ready environment.
Now the home is ready for listing photos, and future guests will walk into a space that feels calm, functional, and thoughtfully prepared.
