Cape Cod: Kitchen overhaul in Wareham, Massive clothes organization in Hyannis

This past week, Team Peace Cape Cod was able to help two clients get unstuck. The first was in Wareham. Our client had recently moved the contents of one kitchen into a this home, which was already furnished. Marianne and Agena did the Big Sort - they took everything out of the boxes and out of the cabinets and drawers, sorted like with like, edited the items with the client, and re-homed everything. Four boxes of donations and many containers later (brought in by Peaceful Place from our inventory) , this client is very pleased. This project will be featured in more detail in our Before and After blog, but here’s a preview.

Also, last week, Team Peace organizers Pauline and Angelica pulled off a minor miracle in Hyannis. It also greatly helped that the client let go of 8 contractor bags of clothes! First, we transported a backlog of laundry that needed doing to a local laundromat and then picked up the laundry all washed and folded, Next, the organizers did the Big Sort of this new laundry with the existing clean clothes. Then came the editing with the client - she let go of sizes no longer in play and did a great job of making her editing decisions based on her new reality of semi-retirement and no longer needing office clothes. Last step: we re-homed the clothes in her closet and drawers. All this took only 6 hours! For the first time in years, this client’s clothes are all washed and placed in her bedroom. In her words, “I feel like a new person.” This is the inner transformation that getting professional organizing help can bring, we we are so happy to be a part of the process.
